PROFILE

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Saptarshi Dhar is a Chevening Scholar, academic and researcher working as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU), Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Before she joined Jahangirnagar University as a Lecturer, she worked as a Lecturer of Human Resources at United International University, Bangladesh where she developed her life-long interest in teaching and research.

Saptarshi is a Chevening Scholar; she is the proud recipient of the prestigious Chevening Award - a fully funded scholarship awarded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), United Kingdom. She completed her 2nd master's degree in MA Development Studies with Distinction from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS UK) at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. Earlier, Saptarshi completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from IBA, Jahangirnagar University, securing 1st position in both programmes.

Saptarshi is keenly involved in research; she regularly attends international conferences and publishes research articles and book chapters in national and international publications. Her research focus includes exploring development solutions for people with disabilities through entrepreneurial means.
